Affiliate & Product Recommendation Disclosure

Effective Date: 7/23/2025
MissionFirst Web Design Agency
A registered trade name of Tamar Cove Engineering, LLC

At MissionFirst Web Design Agency, we recommend and implement tools that help nonprofits succeed online — including hosting, WordPress plugins, donation platforms, email marketing services, form builders, scheduling tools, and analytics platforms. We choose tools based on reliability, security, support, and fit for nonprofit use cases.

Some of the tools we recommend, link to, or install for clients are offered through affiliate, referral, reseller, or partner programs. That means we may receive a commission, credit, discount, extended license, or other benefit if you purchase, subscribe to, or continue using those products. This disclosure explains how that works and what it means for you.

1. Types of Relationships We May Have

We may participate in one or more of the following with third-party vendors:

  • Affiliate Links – If you click a link on our website and purchase a product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

  • Referral Credits – We may receive account credits or service discounts when we refer a client who signs up.

  • Agency / Reseller / Developer Licenses – We may buy multi-site or agency-level licenses (e.g., WordPress plugins) and deploy them on client sites. These licenses sometimes include pricing incentives for us.

  • Nonprofit Partner Pricing – Some vendors offer reduced or extended plans for agencies that serve nonprofits; we may access those on your behalf.

2. Product Use in Your Website Build

When you hire us to build or host your website, we may recommend specific software or services. If you approve their use and we deploy them in your project:

  • We may receive a commission or benefit from the vendor.

  • In some cases, we are licensing the tool under our agency account and covering the cost while you remain a hosting client.

  • If your hosting or service term ends, continued use of that tool may require you to purchase your own license from the vendor.

We will identify material, recurring-cost tools (e.g., premium forms, donation processors, event plugins) in your project scope or proposal so you know what’s included and what is billable later.

3. How This Affects You

  • No Hidden Markups: We do not recommend tools because of affiliate programs. We recommend them because we trust them.

  • No Extra Cost (Usually): In most cases, affiliate or referral compensation does not increase your price.

  • Possible Savings: Where our agency license covers usage, you may pay less than buying the tool independently.

  • Pass-Through Costs: If a tool requires a per-site license beyond what we cover, that cost will be clearly identified in your estimate or invoice.

4. Transparency in Quotes & Agreements

For project work, we will indicate when a recommended product:

  • Is covered under our license while you remain hosted with us

  • Requires a separate paid subscription you manage directly

  • May generate an affiliate commission if purchased through our link

If a vendor relationship materially changes your cost or service obligations, we will document it in writing before implementation.

5. Your Choice of Tools

You are not required to use tools we recommend. However:

  • Declining a recommended tool may limit features (e.g., event ticketing, donation processing, CRM sync).

  • Alternative tools may require additional development time or incur separate licensing costs.

  • Self-managed licenses must remain active for the feature to function properly.

We’re happy to discuss alternatives and help you compare benefits, costs, and support models.

6. Links on Our Website

Some blog posts, resource lists, or comparison guides on our website may include affiliate or referral links. Where practical, we mark those links or include a notice on the page. Clicking them helps support educational content we provide to the nonprofit community — at no extra cost to you.

7. Questions or Disclosure Requests

If you would like to know whether a specific product we recommend is one we receive compensation for, just ask. We’re committed to transparency.
